stitches (after surgery)

Heal faster after stitches by aiding the skin’s recovery process with Doctor Rogers RESTORE® Healing Balm.

How to heal stitches?

Stitches or sutures, no matter why you have them; elective surgery, getting cut on an adventure, birth, or having skin cancer removed, need special attention to ensure a speedy recovery.

As a Dermatologic surgeon, Dr. Rogers has performed over 10,000 skin surgeries and is obsessed with the healing process to make beautifully subtle scars.

Most physicians recommend Aquaphor, Neosporin, or Bacitracin after surgery but the rate of allergy to these products continues to increase and Dr. Rogers sees reactions to these products on regular basis.

To ensure safe healing for her patients, she created Doctor Rogers RESTORE Healing Balm. It is the ointment she uses after all procedures in her dermatology office including surgery, biopsies and lasering. Her patients and peers love it and RESTORE Healing Balm is now available in dermatology offices around the country.

RESTORE Healing Balm is made from only hypoallergenic, plant-based ingredients carefully selected to aid in the healing of skin without the risk of irritation by common allergens. RESTORE Healing Balm protects and supports skin during the recovery process.

Glycerin is a powerful humectant that pulls water into the skin, promotes healing, reduces irritation and restores normal skin barrier function. The vegetable glycerin in RESTORE Healing Balm is harvested from sustainably farmed oil palm trees and is United States Pharmacopeia (USP) grade. USP is the highest grade available, making it acceptable for food, drug, or medicinal use.

Castor seed oil is a well-known emollient that hydrates the skin and has been shown to decrease inflammation. Castor wax, also known as hydrogenated castor seed oil, is added to increase stability and keep the balm solid. Only the highest grade castor products, per the International Castor Oil Association (ICOA) industry specifications, are used in RESTORE Healing Balm 100% plant-based ingredients.
