Dermatologist's Guide to Your Best Skin

Skin Recovery with Doctor Rogers

“My work isn’t done when a patient leaves my office. Optimal results require exceptional post-procedure care.”

- Heather D. Rogers, MD

After decades of witnessing adverse reactions to common skincare products used during recovery, I developed my namesake skincare line to provide my patients with a safer, more effective solution. Doctor Rogers Skin Care offers clinically tested, hypoallergenic products designed specifically for post-procedure skin recovery.

My skincare line is built around gentle, healing-focused formulations that are effective, safe and easy to use even on compromised or sensitive skin. These products support faster healing, reduce irritation and help deliver better cosmetic results following dermatologic procedures.

Post-Procedure Skin Care: Recommendations

Face Wash: A gel cleanser to gently wash, calm irritation and promote healing. Your skin will feel soothed and refreshed after any procedure.

Face Cream: An intense moisturizer to rebuild skin, reduce swelling and minimize redness. This cream will leave your skin feeling hydrated and nourished.

Restore Healing Balm: A clinically effective ointment to protect healing skin, speed recovery and lock in moisture. This balm will calm irritation while quickly healing any damage.

Post-Procedure Skincare: What to Avoid

Avoid using products that may irritate healing skin, such as:

  • Vitamin C or other antioxidant serums
  • Exfoliants, resurfacing and cell turnover products, including:
    • Tretinoin
    • Retinol
    • Bakuchiol
    • AHAs or BHAs
    • Hydroquinone
  • Our Advance Collection should only be introduced after the skin has fully recovered.

Post Care Directions

When you have an in office procedure, you should leave with clear post care directions from your provider about how to care for your skin as you heal. At Modern Dermatology, we provide our patients written directions about how to care for their skin, what to expect during the healing process and a post procedure skincare kit with everything they will need.  Every in office procedure we perform has tailored post care directions. Below is the post care sheet we give to patients after they have an IPL.
